The Meetings Show, a leading exhibition for the MICE industry in the UK, made its Asia-Pacific (APAC) debut in Singapore on 17-18 April 2024. Organised by Northstar Travel Group, over 1,000 regional and global MICE professionals came together for two days of networking, knowledge sharing and business activities.
As the Official Production Partner of the inaugural meetings show, we concurrently powered the main stage and a separate Tech Campfire stage. Here’s what we did for each stage:
Main stage
Across both days of the meetings show, the main stage featured non-stop presentations, panel discussions and showcases that covered a wide range of topics such as sustainability, technology, workforce management and more.
The main stage of The Meetings Show APAC 2024 featured a 7m-wide and 4m-tall LED video wall that delivered a clear view of its display to audience members.
A brilliant LED video wall served as the backdrop of the main stage, amplifying and delivering the information in a clear, uninterrupted visual display to the audience. The ensuing display facilitated meaningful dialogue and discussions that satisfied presenters and attendees alike.
Elmie Zulfilqar, our Senior Production Manager, highlighted the need for the LED video wall on the main stage to be tall and wide enough for every attendee to see it clearly.
We created the LED video wall at a height and length where every word is legible and every image is clear. On top of that, since there will be speakers and panellists in front of the screen, we also made sure the digital content is strategically positioned so that the people on stage will not obstruct the view of important information from the audience.
Keiko Hosaka, a guest from Japan who attended a panel at the main stage, was impressed by the clear display of the LED video wall.
“Looking at the LED video wall at the main stage during the panel, it gave me the impression that Unearthed Productions has the technological capabilities to create and deliver large digital displays,” she said.
Tech Campfire Showcase
At the same time, we set up a separate stage for the Tech Campfire Showcase, where leading event management technology companies such as Gevme, Cvent, Pigeonhole Live, Zenus and Jublia were invited to shared their latest technologies, insights and solutions.
The Tech Campfire Showcase featured an open yet personal space, which facilitated and encouraged interaction among audience members and presenters.
This stage was designed to be more intimate, reducing the distance between presenter and audience and encouraging closer interaction between all participants. In place of the conventional chairs, we instead put out smaller cube-shaped stools. These made it easier for guests to navigate and created an open and “permeable” space, where audience members could simply take a seat and listen to the presentation.
The Tech Campfire Showcase was also equipped with a sizeable LED screen, which easily commanded the attention of onlookers in every presentation when coupled with the open concept of the stage and the surrounding area.
Panos Moutafis, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zenus, enjoyed his experience during his presentation in the Tech Campfire Showcase. He said, “The open layout of the stage design was attractive. It allowed people who were walking by to see the large LED display, and engage in conversation with myself and other presenters.”
